Confirmed. Holy? I Think Not.

So it's the 10th of August & after today I finally have a teman for Sunday brunch. Not that I was in need of one or anything but yeah... things just happen like that.

Anyway, the point is that it was Koler & ShaShaMol's Confirmation Day!
Congratulations, && also to all your classmates & crazy friends.

After today, there's no need for you to stay back after church anymore. Attending their Confirmation mass made me think about my own Confirmation. Which led me to think about the fact that I wasn't in the final group picture (oh the injustice of it all), which made me think how many people, that were in the picture, I actually see or hear from nowadays?
Everyone told me that I'd miss being with everyone every Sunday but I thought, Nahh.. We'll still somehow see each other. Point is, its been 3 years & those people were right.

It rather seemed like after being confirmed everyone just kinda went off in so many different directions it would be near impossible to get everyone back together again. Which would be a shame, cause we were one ROCKING confirmation class!

Anyway, coming back from my own musings, being the designated photographer for the day, here's some of the pics I managed to take of my sister & cousin before they entered church with their godmothers.

ShaShaMol & her godma. all the way from Singapore.

Ok so for those who have no clue what I'm talking about, being confirmed & all, it's basically saying that after today they are adults in the church. Being free of Sunday School which they've been attending since they were about 5 or 6 years old. Think of Graduation but with religious undercurrents. They're usually accompanied by a sponsor of some sort, usually its a godparent but in some cases its a facilitator or even someone from the youth group.

Warning: Looking through these pictures again I realised that Koler looks really high for some reason. Just thought I'd point that out before we move on.

Time for some pics of ShaShaMol.

family photograph.

Usually after the ceremony is over, we have a celebration like thing with family & friends. Since my sister & cousin got confirmed together, we had a joint celebration with the Pauls, Carloses, Menons & friends at the Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Club.

& something else that needs to be established before we go on again. There are A LOT of people in my family. I'm not sure if you guys ever managed to see how many people there are though you will if I update enough. XD
Point is though is that there were about close to 80-90 people at this thing & that still doesn't include all of them. But the place was setup quite nicely, we had our own lil hall & everything even a small stage & dancefloor.

the backdrop they provided.
i just realized ShaShaMol's name is red, i have no idea why.

the cake.
chocolate & marshmallows, food of the gods people.

then for some reason, they had to feed their parents.

what's a eurasian party without dancing?

Mum loves terrorizing Koler's friends.

At the end we all went home, full stomach, though some of them did adjourn to our house to lepak some more. Wow, my family's really clingy. :)

i was feeling left out reminiscing right, so here's a pic of me with my godma.
if you're observant: she's ShaShaMol's mum.

CHEERS!
