Cupcakes, Craziness Ensues.

Finally the big date, 08/08/08.

Personally I don't get what the big fuss is about, yeah I get that its good luck & things like that but come on.. Its just a date after all. How a series of numbers can affect your fortune is beyond me. Though it must have meant something pretty special to all those people who got married/registered today, which according to Pabo is A LOT of people.

So congratulations to all of you, extra to those who managed to make the time work as well.

Since I don't have marriage on the mind right now, I was thinking of following Chel & Sammy to visit Deb's grandma today. But it turned out that I couldn't cause I had to stay home & take care of the kids. Mum & Dad had a wedding (yes another one of those) to go to in the afternoon so I had to be at home with them.

All was not lost though as I ended up having a really great time baking with Chel & Sammy. They came over to bake cupcakes for Deb's grandma. After looking through some recipes we decided on Earl Grey cupcakes with satin icing. MMmm.. Yummy.

This is where the improvisations kick in. First of all, I don't think the tea we used was even Earl Grey tea, but it was better than using some Teh Harimau that they saw when they went to the mart to pick up some ingredients. & it turned out that one squeezed lemon isn't enough for 5 tablespoons. && apparently, the eggs in my house have really round yolks according to Sammy. The last one isn't a bad thing, I think.

All in all it came out pretty well, though we couldn't really taste the tea, the icing had a right amount of lemon-ey & we managed to make really nice Smarties like colours for the icing. We even had time to decorate them & take pictures. As usual right?

Just realised that we didn't manage to take any pictures of the process but anyway, there's already more than enough as it is. :)

just ice-d cupcakes.

Gosh that was hard work, time for something else. Camwhore your cupcakes girls!

The Pointlessness of It All

Well its been a while & this is the first post I'm doing since 'coming out'. Seriously you guys, I can't thank you enough.

Classes have started again & already I'm wondering how I'm gonna survive the rest of the semester. Its only the second week k, why must I give up so fast? I mean not all my fault, the lecturers are so boring I almost lose the will to live whenever they start talking.

Anyway, its no wonder why our brain cells feel so utterly dried up we feel the need to do spastic things in our free time. (these are a few days old, but for the sake of an example I don't really care)

Stacking our bottles in cafe.
Because apparently they're taller than Ryan's phone.

Because candid shots are the best.

Because the back of Ryan's head has never looked better.

See its a pretty awesome process really, even better when Ryan decided that he really needed to drink water & it was a good idea to just yank his bottle out when it was right smack in the middle of the stack. XD

On a totally unrelated note, we recently found out something about a friend from college which I've been meaning to put up here but I've just been to lazy. But no matter, I will now.

Because it matches her jeans perfectly.

If you're going to be hardworking enough to figure out what the point of this whole post was, don't bother cause even I don't know myself. Just reveling in the randomness that is me.

& I'd like to invite you all to examine the randomness inside of YOU.

Late Night Date with the Girls. Part II

I finally have the pictures from Chel which is basically us taking tons of pictures anywhere that tickled our fancy. All of which was around the furniture that I mentioned before.
Another thing bout Bambo9, it really inspires you to take pictures. :D

I went so crazy over Chel's camera & got to take a few shots myself. She even Photoshop-ed some of them, hence the genius brain of hers.

Warning: Picture alert!

Late Night Date with the Girls. Part I

Spent the day at home yesterday. I wasn't feeling very well these past few days but still slogging it out at work. So I figured its about time I took a day off (yes I do know how) to relax at home & recover properly in time for semester to commence next week.

At around 5pm yesterday I get a call from Sammy & Chel. They decided to go over to Sammy's dad place in TTDI Plaze for dinner. Chel & I have actually never been there before last night & I was really curious about it.

So we get there, albeit quite late & I have to say it's a really nice place he's got there called Bambo9. We had dinner in the restaurant outside the bar & first of all the ambience there is amazing. Great place to just chill with a bunch of friends, have something to drink or eat & just talk & laugh the night away. Perfect setting for our girls night out.

Secondly, the furniture there is by far the most unique I've ever seen, & very comfortable. Except maybe not so much the bar chairs, but if you're wearing jeans its not a problem.

Bambo9.
(Sammy was saying it means something in Chinese, very feng shui)

Went crazy over these towering mushroom lights.
One of the many unique furniture pieces.

The bar from where we were sitting.
See what I mean about wearing jeans?

Candid shot of Sammy & Chel with her camera.

Yummy food all gone.

We did go into the bar for a while cause we needed to use the toilet. Managed to sneak a shot or two outside the toilet while waiting for Sammy. All in all a good time, & great company. Thanks guys!

Coming up in Part II, filling the gap from the time we finished dinner till we went into the bar featuring more furniture, courtesy of Chel's camera & her genius brain.

The Dark Knight

The Date?
Sunday, 20th July 2008

The Movie?

The Review?
Absolutely brilliant!!

Note to self:-
When watching movies this famous close to the release date, abandon Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley & 1Utama (New Wing) as options unless tickets have already been reserved.

Luckily, Ian had the sense to suggest Cineleisure to the others otherwise we wouldn't have been able to watch it. Even better we all managed to get a Dark Knight cup with our popcorn. Was so sexcited! Yay! Last time I wanted a Prince Caspian one, damn sad when it was sold out. :(

camwhoring my cup.

All I can say about it is that it was blady brilliant, amazing & every other word you can find synonymous to those. One of those movies that you'll regret for life if you don't get to watch it at least once.

The plot was really entertaining, the constant struggle between Batman & The Joker mixed with The Joker's many idiosyncrasies is more than enough to keep your eyes glued to the screen throughout. I'm sooo ready to watch it again! XD

When it came to the characters, I would have to say that hands down there was one that literally stole the show.

The Joker played by the deliciously sexy late Heath Legder.

His portrayal of The Joker was really amazing, most deserving of the posthumous Oscar they're thinking of giving him. Support that one all the way man!
& even with the makeup he still manages to look so Hot Hot Hot! Lol. I'm really gonna miss watching this man on the movie screen.

All About The Rants.

Pink, Distance & Volume Or some other random topic that comes to mind.

Have you ever wondered why people need to raise their voices for whole streets to hear even though the person their talking to is just right next to them?

I mean I understand that some people are just naturally loud but there are others that raise their voices for no apparent reason at all. Can anyone say L.O.A?
Seriously, some people really need to think about their volume & if it's really that necessary for such a short distance.

& what's with guy's who think they can pull off any shade of pink?

I mean it's all acceptable n stuff but really, try & practice some caution with the kinds of pink that you choose to put on. Some guys can pull off that shade of pink but YOU can't, especially with that ambiguous walk you have. *shivers*

Lastly, Baby's finally coming back today. yay!
