Late Night Date with the Girls. Part I

Spent the day at home yesterday. I wasn't feeling very well these past few days but still slogging it out at work. So I figured its about time I took a day off (yes I do know how) to relax at home & recover properly in time for semester to commence next week.

At around 5pm yesterday I get a call from Sammy & Chel. They decided to go over to Sammy's dad place in TTDI Plaze for dinner. Chel & I have actually never been there before last night & I was really curious about it.

So we get there, albeit quite late & I have to say it's a really nice place he's got there called Bambo9. We had dinner in the restaurant outside the bar & first of all the ambience there is amazing. Great place to just chill with a bunch of friends, have something to drink or eat & just talk & laugh the night away. Perfect setting for our girls night out.

Secondly, the furniture there is by far the most unique I've ever seen, & very comfortable. Except maybe not so much the bar chairs, but if you're wearing jeans its not a problem.

Bambo9.
(Sammy was saying it means something in Chinese, very feng shui)

Went crazy over these towering mushroom lights.
One of the many unique furniture pieces.

The bar from where we were sitting.
See what I mean about wearing jeans?

Candid shot of Sammy & Chel with her camera.

Yummy food all gone.

We did go into the bar for a while cause we needed to use the toilet. Managed to sneak a shot or two outside the toilet while waiting for Sammy. All in all a good time, & great company. Thanks guys!

Coming up in Part II, filling the gap from the time we finished dinner till we went into the bar featuring more furniture, courtesy of Chel's camera & her genius brain.

The Dark Knight

The Date?
Sunday, 20th July 2008

The Movie?

The Review?
Absolutely brilliant!!

Note to self:-
When watching movies this famous close to the release date, abandon Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley & 1Utama (New Wing) as options unless tickets have already been reserved.

Luckily, Ian had the sense to suggest Cineleisure to the others otherwise we wouldn't have been able to watch it. Even better we all managed to get a Dark Knight cup with our popcorn. Was so sexcited! Yay! Last time I wanted a Prince Caspian one, damn sad when it was sold out. :(

camwhoring my cup.

All I can say about it is that it was blady brilliant, amazing & every other word you can find synonymous to those. One of those movies that you'll regret for life if you don't get to watch it at least once.

The plot was really entertaining, the constant struggle between Batman & The Joker mixed with The Joker's many idiosyncrasies is more than enough to keep your eyes glued to the screen throughout. I'm sooo ready to watch it again! XD

When it came to the characters, I would have to say that hands down there was one that literally stole the show.

The Joker played by the deliciously sexy late Heath Legder.

His portrayal of The Joker was really amazing, most deserving of the posthumous Oscar they're thinking of giving him. Support that one all the way man!
& even with the makeup he still manages to look so Hot Hot Hot! Lol. I'm really gonna miss watching this man on the movie screen.

All About The Rants.

Pink, Distance & Volume Or some other random topic that comes to mind.

Have you ever wondered why people need to raise their voices for whole streets to hear even though the person their talking to is just right next to them?

I mean I understand that some people are just naturally loud but there are others that raise their voices for no apparent reason at all. Can anyone say L.O.A?
Seriously, some people really need to think about their volume & if it's really that necessary for such a short distance.

& what's with guy's who think they can pull off any shade of pink?

I mean it's all acceptable n stuff but really, try & practice some caution with the kinds of pink that you choose to put on. Some guys can pull off that shade of pink but YOU can't, especially with that ambiguous walk you have. *shivers*

Lastly, Baby's finally coming back today. yay!

Ray of Hope.

I'm still pretty much in the dark as to the outcome of the past few days efforts. However, I've realised that I'm getting over it & more than ready to move the hell along. There's no reason to wallow in the past any longer & I've done whatever I can do at this point. I'm calm & relaxed at this reassurance.

The only thing that isn't going so well is still the fact that 'they' don't know yet, & i doubt they'll be as readily accepting as I am now. No doubt they'll have to go through the same process as I have to get to a place where I am now. I've still got lots of loose ends to tie up & constantly having them floating around in my head is nauseating. Even so, every day goes on as normal as I allow it to. I'll just have to suppress a lot of what I'm feeling now, I'm used to it.

'They' who should know have no clue about anything & are just so easily fooled that they only see what I want them to see all the time. I just wish it could be like that for everything..

You'd think that with a post of that title, I'd be much more cheerful.. XD

Escaping Slowly, Unscathed For The Moment.

The day of truth..

Now that the moment is over, I can't really decide whether I'm sad that it's over. Part of me want to be..totally enjoy myself after worrying as much as I've been doing these past few days but the other part of me just doesn't want to.

I'm so blady tornnnnnn..

I mean I know why I'm still feeling a certain amount of apprehension since it all almost blew up in my face this morning. N after the night I had last night, I so wasn't in the mood for it, only by a miracle was I able to control myself from blurting it out & spoiling everything before its even due to come out.

I don't know how long I can keep this up really, its literally & metaphorically eating me up inside. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything today will go well. At this point, I really need it. *fingers crossed*

Just another day in the life for me.

I think I remember how many days it is already, its been 5 days so far. Can't wait for you to get back.. xoxo

C-H-E-E-R 2008!!

Today was the greatly anticipated Cheer 2008 in Bukit Jalil Stadium & I followed my sister with some of her friends after church to go support the old secondary school. Thanks to Koler who bought me a supporter shirt. . .

my very own 'sun-friendly' shirt

See there.. It says I'm a supporter..! Hahaha!
Probably the most I've done in support of anything my school was involved in.

After mass we rushed to the train station where we had to wait a while for our SUPPORTER shirts to arrive. Once changed we headed on our journey to the Stadium. Everything was supposed to go well, we'd get there sit at our designated supporter spots & cheer our teams, Phoenix & Thunderz. (yes, I confirmed the name :D) Nothing wrong with that plan right...? WRONG. . !

First of all we were dead hungry by the time we reached the Bukit Jalil Stadium, then thinking we could take a slow walk to the place we give a call beforehand to check on the status of the performances. N guess who was performing at the moment we stepped out of the train? Thunderz! & Phoenix had already performed just before that. What else could we do? We ran ahead & I managed to catch them walking out. Please note that we were still proudly wearing our supporters shirts all the way.

Then we couldn't find where the school people were. When we finally did we saw they were all pretty down. Phoenix last formation was a failure & Thunderz wasn't confident that they did a good job though everyone said that they did well. To make matters worst, the moment they spotted us they had this really hopeful look on their face & asked excitedly "Did you get to see us?" Such great supporters we are no?

Anyway we stayed till the lunch break & watched some of the other performances, even taking random pics. There were some pretty good ones, the guys too were really good. One stood out though, & I'm glad to say this cause I actually managed to watch a certain guy who shall remain Nameless since he's got way too many friends lurking around. A hint for Ryan & EmilyBic, he thinks he's damn sexy. XD

Random pics we managed to take. .

I know, really too random right?

Thunderz doing their thing.

Later for lunch we decided to head out from there thinking bout going over to the Korean restaurant in Ampang that Pabo intro-ed me to. The food there is really yummy & I must say my first experience with Korean food was really pleasant. But I digress. We headed instead to Mid Valley & had lunch in Chili's since Kim Gary was totally packed.

Seriously the thing bout Chili's, it being my first time there & all. Some waiter told us that if they know we're sharing the bottomless drinks they won't refill for us anymore. O.o
Never heard of that before. Lol! But it was a good thing we hadn't had anything to eat, we were STARVED! Luckily there were big portions to be had.

yummylicious nachos. (I'm such a sucker for these)

huge 'Old Timer burger, had to ask them to cut into four.

pigs that we are, we managed to eat every little bit. XD

So damn exhausted now & I still have to study for my paper tomorrow morning, 9.00 am ok. Sure can't sleep the whole night.

Haih.. Anyway, good luck to me!

CHEERS!

Oh my I lost count of the days, till Friday Baby.. xoxo
