Just checked my results. Omg la, damn nervous k. & it didn't help that Michelle messaged me last night. Almost couldn't sleep thinking about it. Not to mention, Koler was keeping me awake by telling me about her Prom nonsense & I was bitching about my parents to her.
I messaged Pabo so she can worry with me, but as I found out just now she was actually down last night with food poisoning.
But I'm happy to say that I passed all my subjects this semester, even that blady shitty 260. & also my 206 which I was worried that I would get penalized cause of my last minute scramblings. Yay! Prancing around the house like some drunk fool..what a relief, bring on that peaceful sleep. My dad thought I was mad with all my prancing.
I can't go back to sleep now though cause I'm going off to Klang in a bit to teman my aunties to buy my cousins outfits for the temple hall ceremony & go threading. They all bontadi to go after we showed off the other day. We warned them about the pain but, oh well, I guess they'll be finding it out for themselves later. I'll be back after lunch only to leave for the Bukit Jalil Club to go bowling & swimming which was put off due to last nights incidents. Might be able to post up pictures later. See how it goes :D

Of Proms & Tragedies.
Today is Koler's prom & from the moment I opened my eyes this morning afternoon I did nothing else but help her get ready. Even though it was like 1 something in the afternoon & she's deciding to leave 4 hours later. Also, my dad's on leave today due to the fact that he has LOTs of extra leave days apparently. Total opposite from my mum who doesn't have any extra, we know why don't we wombat?
So basically, my day was spent painting fingernails, curling & styling hair & applying makeup just so that she'll be able to finish & get there on time to help out since she's in the committee. An hour before she needs to leave though, my dad comes back from lunch with Andrea & tells me to call my mum to ask her to come back home in time to send Nicole to Holiday Villa. Rushing out again he mentions that my aunty has met an accident & he's following my uncle to see to them.
Thankfully my aunties were safe, albeit with a few aches & bruises. Also, my mum was able to get back home in time to send my sister so she wasn't late.
Walking back home however, my dad said that he heard a girl scream. Thinking it was one of us he hurried in but found that we were all ok. As he was beginning to tell us how my aunties were, the boys who live next door started calling out for my parents because their sister was bitten by their dog. Mysterious screaming girls' identity solved.
Rushing out again, my parents brought her to the clinic to see to her injury which consisted of a bite on her hand & several scratches on her arm. Later, we found out that she was actually holding her hamster near the dog & bit her in an attempt to get it I imagine.
After dinner we went over to my uncle's place to see my aunties who were there since A. Yvonne & sons are no longer staying in Subang but with my uncle whose house is near mine. Funnily enough, they didn't want my Nanny to worry & get stressed up so they decided to tell her a very watered down version of the accident. Glossing over the exact injuries & things like that. Genius.
Just now though, we were having supper in A&W (still waiting for my 222 btw) & Michelle figured it'll be fun to ruin my day so she sends me a message asking me about my 260 textbook because she didn't get through that paper.

The Countdown Begins.
Spent the past few days shuttling back & forth from my place to my aunty's place in Subang where the rest of my family also gathered for reasons that involved adjourning to tea, dinner or even a late night mamak session. Not to mention my parents have been occupied the past few nights with some function or other.
Which, don't get me wrong, is a pretty damn good thing considering my sister & I get to be totally candid with our relatives without the fear of our parents breathing down our necks. & candid we were, talking & joking about topics that previously would have left my parents feeling embarrassed for god knows what reason.
The day after the whole Pyramid outing we headed over to my aunty's place firstly because they had planned to have a potluck for dinner. It only makes sense, since everyone is gonna end up there anyway, why not bring food along right? Which brings me to reason no. 2, because everyone was going to be present, my aunty decided to invite her daughter's future in laws to go over the temple hall ceremony with all of us so that we wouldn't be lost during the proceedings which, after today, is in 6 days time.
After church the next day we were supposed to head over to the shop for our saree blouse fitting but we ended up meeting everyone in Asia Cafe first to have brunch. Later, a few of us left to the shop while the rest headed back to my aunt's place. However, after all those days of patiently waiting & the reassurances that everything would be finished on time, the shop was closed when we got there. Partly our fault for not calling first & checking to see if they were open, but it was stated on the card they gave us that the shop would be open. Not to mention we had checked with them numerous times when they took our measurements.
Disappointed, we went back to Subang to bring my aunty to Pyramid to collect her dress that she had had altered the other day. After walking around a bit, we left cause the parents needed to go back home & get ready for yet another dinner. Needless to say, we tried to convince them to leave us in my aunty's place instead of going home. They weren't thrilled with the idea at first, giving excuses such as Andrea not having any change of clothes & if you can believe it, that we had housework to do at home.
Of all the underhanded forms of trickery, giving fabricated excuses truly is the parents forte. Only later did we find out the REAL reason, when they 'reminded' us that we should move away from our cousins when they choose to start smoking. Uh.. Yeah, I don't care.
Surprisingly, we won that battle. However, we're of the opinion that it was because Andrea was the one who showed face & was throwing a fit. No matter, we got what we wanted & when we returned to Subang we were greeted by applause. Talk about satisfying.
It's a rainy rainy holiday today. My dad's gone off to have a golf game with my uncle's so my mum, aunty, Koler & I decide to give it another shot at the saree blouse place. & just to show that we learnt from our mistake, my mum called them up first to double check if they were open.
So yeah, made some adjustments but the blouse fits & next on the list was to go threading in Klang so we're throughly de-man-ed before the wedding but mainly for Koler who's prom is tomorrow.
After the many complications & the irritating rain, we now have nicely shaped eyebrows & bald upper lips. It has been something that I've wanted to do for ages & I finally did. Blame my dad & his 18th century thinking.
But seriously, being my first time I gotta say it hurt like hell & it was worst because I hadn't done it before. I feel its something that you need to get used to though & I can't wait to go again :D

Pyramid At Christmas Time.
Another session in Subang tonight. We’d met in my aunt’s place for dinner & to lepak with all my relatives. Apparently one night isn’t enough, go figure :D
This time though, we were joined by my aunty from Seremban who’d come all the way to spend the weekend with us here in KL. Also, she planned to look around for outfits to wear for my cousins’ church wedding & reception on the 20th of this month. So after dinner, we took her to Pyramid to look for dresses.
I hadn’t been to Pyramid since I left for break but I still had to be there, or they would literally be lost without me. Walked around to a few shops while admiring the decorations in Pyramid. I can so start to feel the Christmas mood. Waiting to finish putting up the Christmas decorations in my place so I can post pictures. Back to the present, we ended up stopping by in Nichii & started to act all jakun with the hats & sunnies.
OOoo.. Check out Pyramid being all Christmas-sy.

Aussie Arrivals -- We Are Now 99% Complete.
Finally. My relatives from Australia are coming down & they arrived tonight at around 8 something. I was originally not supposed to follow but, as I put it, I ditched my sisters in my aunt’s house & charmed my ticket to the airport in my uncle’s car.
We didn’t have to wait long & everyone there was feeling so excited that it was really potong stim when my uncle kept tricking us with decoys. But finally, they walked out of the gate & we all but rushed to greet them, blocking up the walkway in the process.
Later all of us were still restless & reluctant to sleep so we headed to a mamak in SS19. 1 ½ maggi goreng, a limau ais & teh panas later I was ready to call it a night & so was everyone else.
So the madness begins. Till tomorrow night all!

Christmas Decoration Shopping.
After church, Koler, & well everyone, was really bontadi to go out gallivanting so we headed over to Mid Valley to look around for some extra Christmas decorations. As usual, the place was all decked out in Christmas things, complete with a many many foot tree. :D
Was looking around in Jusco & saw some pretty unique decorations but there was one that was really horrible. I really don’t understand who would put this one up on their tree or in their house.
Also had fun taking pictures while walking around.

Welcome Back Godpa & Happy Belated Birthday!
It’s been a long week rotting my brains out at home while taking care of my little sister so I was thankful for the little respite that I did get. Thanks Deb! We’d gone running in Taman Jaya on Wednesday & I must say we did soo much better than the last time.
Also, my godfather arrived during the week & I finally got to see him tonight when we went over to my Nan’s place to celebrate his birthday which was actually a week after mine, on the 15th.
Something else about tonight, apparently the clan in Klang was also having something to celebrate all the November birthdays. Which does include me but, something tells me that one missing November baby wasn’t going to hurt them much. Not to mention the fact that I’d been waiting ages to see my godfather & I wasn’t gonna pass up this chance to spend with time them. But I digress..
As usual, the affair at Nan’s place was all about good food & great company. It was so great to see my godfather again after what seemed like ages! Also, it was a pleasant surprise to find out that they were celebrating my birthday as well. Yay!

The Past Week - In Retrospect.
Monday - 17/11/2008
Went to college to help Ryan with calculus for our final paper on Wednesday. Needless to say, it wasn't much of a success. Basically, we'd technically already passed the subject on our internals & totally lost the mood to do any kind of studying.
What was interesting about today was I saw exactly the extent to which the people in my college (ok, one person) are prepared to go to make sure that their favourite Prom Queen & King are voted for. Two words, pathetic dude.
Another thing, if you happen to get emails from someone claiming to be sent by God on random topics such as Communication then its safe to say that you don't need to worry as the person who sent it probably goes to my college & while religiously inclined he's most probably not sent by God.
Makes for a good dose of laughter though :D
Tuesday - 18/11/2008
Had another session of calculus revision, this time Pabo joined us. She was freaking out cause she thought she wouldn't do well. When in actual fact, & I did tell her this, she'd only have to answer half a question to pass. :)
But since Pabo was there, we actually did do some work which involved differentiation till I thought my head was gonna explode. Also, Alan asked me if I was free on Thursday to help out by being in a training video for the college. Of course, I decided to rope Ryan into it but that old man was pretty skeptical bout it. One more day before finals are over!
Wednesday - 19/11/2008
Finally. The last paper for the semester. It wasn't that bad, pretty much as expected so I hope I'll be able to do well for this one. After the paper, Emily met us in college & we decided to go to Dragon-i in Mid Valley cause the one in Pyramid sucks. So we all took the bus over & I must say, Emily must be proud of herself for such an achievement. & I though so too, till of course the whole ATM episode. Brilliantly intelligent bic, truly.
Pabo's...being herself.

curiosity got that cat squeezed.
It wasn't for work or anything. It was actually to be in that video that Alan asked me about earlier in the week. It was actually pretty fun, but all my nervous habits started making cameos & I had to work really hard to keep them in check.
Ryan was casted originally to play a disgruntled parent, but there were some scene changes so he didn't have to in the end. But I was done quite early & we'd made plans to meet up for lunch since he'd be going back at the end of the week. So in the end, we had lunch in Pan Bakery & walked around the area looking for his old dry cleaner.
To sum up the rest of what happened that day: I decided it would be a good idea to hit the pavement with my knees, enrolled for Feb '09 semester, got soaking wet in the rain walking back from Ryan's house (though some random guy offered to drive me back) & apparently became a liar for missing my dad's calls twice. Go figure.

Nothing much happened on Friday except I stayed at home & took care of my sister. So I decided to skip to the next day.
I'd made plans to go over to Deb's place cause, after the previous day, it was starting to get suffocating up in here. We actually tried going running around her housing area & I must say I had no idea what the phrase out of shape meant till that moment. Very depressing evening, but the food, wine & company in Deb's house always makes you feel better :D

The True Definition of Relaxation.
Tomorrow I'm gonna be sitting for another paper & I'm still awake. Doing nothing I might add. Compared to Pabo, who's freaking out about not knowing how to do the questions tomorrow, I'm about as calm as can be. Which is starting to scare me, but not enough to do anything about it, unfortunately.
Not to mention I spent the last two days catching up on WGM, which is freaking hilarious btw. Its all thanks to Pabo though, otherwise I'd never get hooked on all this Korean stuff. I've come to a conclusion though that Koreans live to laugh, & are freaking good at making other people laugh as well. :)
Anyway, hopefully everything will go well in the 4 hours that I have tomorrow to finish the paper. Night people!

You don't have to fake it
You know I can take it
What if I told you your tears haven't been ignored
And everything that was taken can be restored
Feel this
Can you feel this
My heart beating out of my chest
Feel this
Can you feel this
Salvation, under my breath
It's gotta be disguised
Soul and script
Chord and lyrics
What if I told you that innocence is yours
And the beauty you have now is brighter than before

Feel this
Can you feel this
My heart beating out of my chest
Feel this
Can you feel this
Salvation, under my breath
Let go, let go and believe, let go, let go and believe,
let go, let go and believe, let go
Feel this
Can you feel this
My heart beating out of my chest
Feel this
Can you feel this
Salvation, under my breath
Can YOU feel this?

REjuvinating Breath of Fresh Air.
Ok so I'd decided some time ago that I was thoroughly bored with looking at so much orange at one time and I thought, Enough is Enough. I'm changing templates, fonts, colours, et cetera, et cetera. Personally, that chick was starting to annoy the heck out of me. Posing there, doing nothing all day.
Anyway, today, finished my first final paper (Acc 260) & it was shihh-ty to say the least. Haih, caught between feeling relieved that its over & nervous about the possible outcomes. Desperately needed an adequate distraction & I must say I did manage to find it. :)
Now I just need to get through one more paper & finals are as good as over!
The only ones left are the Finance papers.
16th Nov (12.00 pm) - Finance 206
19th Nov (8.30 am) - Finance 203
I'm pretty happy that my finals timetable is nice & not a big ball of pressure. Even though it drags on for a bit, its still better than having to take 4 subjects in 3 days. I do feel sorry for those who had 215 after 260 & Tax the day after 260. That's gotta be pretty rough.

Dwebbie's Coming Home.
Today Chel & I went to pick Deb up from the airport. She'd been gallavanting around Europe for the last 6 months & finally decided she's homesick. She'd told her parents that she'd be arriving on the 17th of November. In actual fact, she changed her flight to the 8th so she could surprise everyone. Then she called & told us cause, let's face it, she's gotta get back home from the airport somehow.
Thought I'd be able to wake up but in the end, even though I had set a million & one reminders on my phone I still only managed to drag myself out of bed after 5 in the morning. What can I say, I'm too used to snoozing. :) Fortunately, Chel hadn't slept the whole night doing her college assignment so she was wide awake.
Ok so Crazy Idea No 1, which was actually cooked up during the conversation last night, we had to talk to Deb in BM from the moment we greet her. I thought, hey why not & since we have that long journey ahead, we can practice in the car. Needless to say that didn't work out very well as we only started 'practicing' about 2 minutes from the carpark.
Crazy Idea No 2, Chel figured she wasn't going to park in the carpark but wait outside instead near the taxi place. Only after persuading her, did she decide to park the car.
So we get there & we're looking around to see if Deb had come out yet and I realised that I didn't know any of her flight details. So I decided to ask Chel, since she'd spoken to her two days ago. Unfortunately, Chel being Chel, she didn't know anything besides the fact that she said she'd be out by 7.30. Great!
Then we waited & waited, till I spotted her making her way out & this is where Chel decides to be brilliant again and come up with Crazy Idea No 3 : Surprise Deb by coming up from behind her. First order of business, Hide!
Even with our genuis brains, we couldn't make it pass her let alone come up behind her. So we were spotted & after all the greetings (none in BM btw) we headed off. Chel had to stop by her college to meet with her lecturer for one of her assignments.
Since Chel & I had been a lil late to leave, we didn't get a chance to eat. So after she was done in college, we headed to Bangsar cause Deb felt like eating banana leaf rice. We walked around Bangsar after that & the heat was so atrocious that we decided to stop over for a drink.
(i had no idea it was gonna be pink :X)
Chel's vodka & cranberry.
Great to have you back Deb!

Turning the Big 2-OH, Part II.
To continue from the previous post..
Pabo left around 12ish, & I met Ian who was actually there but decided not to tell me so I wouldn't be distracted from my studying. So sweet right?
He'd already decided he wanted to take me for a super-expensive movie at GSC Signature at the Gardens. So we headed over & bought tickets for the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. Its a pretty nice place but I doubt I'll be going back there to watch a movie again. Its not very worth it la if you ask me.
About the movie, well I didn't really get it. I'm not sure if its cause I didn't watch Casino Royale but it just didn't make sense to me. Some more I don't like that dude who's playing James Bond now. People say he's good & all but I just don't understand why they couldn't have cast an actor with more... hmm.. just more la.
Ooo.. There was something I discovered about the Gardens (besides the fact that that's the place where all my shoes live) which is they have really cool toilets! I discovered one that I really really liked which is..well in a place I can't really explain but they've got mirrors on a counter behind the sinks! Which I think is soo totally cool cause when you're washing your hands you can see the back of you reflected in the mirror in front of you. Lol!
I really wanted to take a picture but for some strange reason, I suddenly felt I didn't wanna look stupid so I decided to save my jakun-ness for another time. Somehow I'd spent so much time in there that by the time I got out, Ian was standing there with a look on his face that said 'I can't believe you've kept me waiting out here for so long'. Hahaha!
ian: you took so long ah just to do your hair?
ME: how did you know that? :X
ian (points to the entrance of the toilet) : see the reflection over there?
ME: well i can't help it, i've never seen what my hair looks like from the back.
ME: oohh. you know, the next time i need to pee i'm coming here straight.
ian: =.=" yeah... well, you're on your own k.
Such a charming boyfriend no?
Anyway, we ended up chilling in MPH after that, until my family finally came over to meet us after Koler's tuition. Had dinner in Spaghetti Grill to celebrate my birthday & by the time we were done it was quite late so we headed back home.
All in all, I gotta say it was a pretty great day. But I was totally beat that it felt so good to finally be able to sleep. Tomorrow, Chel & I are picking Deb up from the airport!

Turning the Big 2-OH, Part I.
Also, if you notice a dry spell during the months between August & this month (which I'm sure you do because of all the pestering to update) it's because I'd gotten really lazy. & what happened was that I was left with this HUGE backlog of things that I wanted to blog about but never got a chance to because of said laziness. Then my birthday came around, and I decided I was gonna be a lil more committed to updating my blog starting from this point onwards. However, as Ryan would put it,
FLAW...
Brilliant I know :)
Anyway, back to today, I'd been meeting Pabo everyday in college for the past week to study & we decided we desperately needed a change of scenery, so we were going to meet in Mid Valley the next morning & find a place to study there.
I took the bus from college & met her at around 8 something and went looking for a place to have breakfast. She ended up treating me breakfast at Toast Box, which has quite nice Lontong, 'if you like sticky rice' as Pabo put it. After studying, we walked around the place & I learned that she enjoys trying out free samples & supermarkets are like heaven for Pabo. She was getting so excited about everything & pointing out things to me here and there, like a little kid at a toy store. Lol!
Then she did something that I've never known anyone else do before in my life. She started walking around the supermarket LOOKING for those booths where they give out free samples. If that wasn't enough, she started complaining why they hadn't set up yet. Hahaha! So typical Pabo that she dubbed herself one level higher than those aunties that keep trying free samples everywhere cause she actually looks for them.
To Pabo: Thanks for tahan-ing me this week, with my constant messaging & concourse analyzing. For making me eat whenever I got too frustrated & cranky, which made you cranky. Apparently I get emo when I don't eat. I never knew that. :X
There are many of you out there, I know.
Part II coming up!

Starring -- A Pair of Thick-Framed Spectacles.
& since Pabo has one she now carries with her all the time we decided to take pictures of us wearing them. This was just one of the more successful sessions, when I took them out for Italian lunch. Yes bless me, I'd just gotten paid.
verdict: face looks too fat.
verdict: aiyaahh, still look fat.

Confirmed. Holy? I Think Not.
Anyway, the point is that it was Koler & ShaShaMol's Confirmation Day!
Congratulations, && also to all your classmates & crazy friends.
Everyone told me that I'd miss being with everyone every Sunday but I thought, Nahh.. We'll still somehow see each other. Point is, its been 3 years & those people were right.
It rather seemed like after being confirmed everyone just kinda went off in so many different directions it would be near impossible to get everyone back together again. Which would be a shame, cause we were one ROCKING confirmation class!
Anyway, coming back from my own musings, being the designated photographer for the day, here's some of the pics I managed to take of my sister & cousin before they entered church with their godmothers.
Warning: Looking through these pictures again I realised that Koler looks really high for some reason. Just thought I'd point that out before we move on.
Mom, Koler & Dad.
Eriko & Koler.
ME & Koler.
Mass over ady k, can camwhore.
Lyn, Koler & RZ.
ME & R-esh.
See how easy it is for me to be distracted when I have a camera in my hand?
ShaShaMol & G-Man looking like they just got married.
ME & ShaShaMol.
Mum & ShaShaMol.
the Paul-Menon confirmants.
& something else that needs to be established before we go on again. There are A LOT of people in my family. I'm not sure if you guys ever managed to see how many people there are though you will if I update enough. XD
Point is though is that there were about close to 80-90 people at this thing & that still doesn't include all of them. But the place was setup quite nicely, we had our own lil hall & everything even a small stage & dancefloor.
i just realized ShaShaMol's name is red, i have no idea why.
chocolate & marshmallows, food of the gods people.
Mum loves terrorizing Koler's friends.
